Our small but successful client markets specialist scientific treatments and therapies to a variety of medical companies across the county, including NHS and private practices. They work within the Rheumatology and Ophthalmology sector, and their treatments have been used on some well-known sports players!
The company are looking for a candidate with a keen interest in the science and research sector, either through university studies or experience in the industry. You will be the key link between the manufacturer and the healthcare professionals, to promote their exceptional product line out in the field. You will have a personable and flexible approach to work in this exciting opportunity! You will build relationships with new and existing customers throughout your territory, producing educational information and demonstrating the value of the companies’ scientific products, in order to achieve personal sales targets and increase their market share. The role will entail a sales generation focus within the central London territory, but following a successful integration into the position, as demonstrated by sales and other Key Performance Indicators, will involve an increasing strategic element across the whole of the South (and occasionally nationally) in relation to specialist product promotion, and specialist product training for both internal and external audiences.
This position would suit someone account management or selling experience within the Medical Device or Pharma industry who is hungry for success, target driven and enjoys driving around and meeting new people. This will be a home-based role, and out on the road in your territory for up to 4-week days, so flexibility is a must! There is an extensive training period for the first 3 months, at head office in Staffordshire and also in other territories shadowing reps.
Job duties
Some responsibilities of this job include promoting the products to various customers and satisfying scientific and technical expectations from customers. You will be involved with setting up and attending meetings both within the NHS and the private medical sector also, developing new business with new clients and later down the line taking on a more strategic . There will be opportunities to attend conferences and exhibitions, and a chance to train for the ABPI qualification after the probationary period.
